Procedural Information
Scan in System: Shawnee has a pool entrance key-tag scanning system. All members must scan in upon arrival. If you cannot have your key tag with you, please take a picture and show it to the front desk staff.
Pool Key Tags: Find your tags! If you have been issued a tag and need a replacement, they can be purchased at the front desk of the pool for $5. If you have not yet been issued a key tag, your tag will be at the front desk.
A full Shawnee membership includes a single family living in the same home. A person not listed on your application is considered a guest of the pool. All guests must check in at the front desk upon arrival. All guests must be accompanied by a Shawnee member and are the responsibility of the sponsoring member while at the pool. All guests must follow the rules of the Club as posted at the pool and on the website. The by-laws state that no local resident may be a guest more than four (4) times in one month, regardless of who sponsors the guest. Daily guest fees will apply. The guest fees are $5.00. There will be no charge for guests who reside outside of a 25-mile radius.
Federal and state guidelines indicate that children under the age of 12 years old need adult supervision. Thus, no child under 12 years old is allowed to be unaccompanied at the pool. All unaccompanied children MUST pass ALL area swim tests while the guardian or parent is present PRIOR to any unaccompanied use of the facility (see testing requirements listed below). This independent use is a PRIVILEGE that will be modified or disallowed if abused in any way. If you have a child between 12 and 18 that will be using the pool on their own, we recommend completing an emergency contact information form. This form can be picked up, filled out and left at the desk.
Swim Test: ALL swimmers must be able to pass a swimming test under supervision of a lifeguard or manager prior to using ANY section of the pool. Specific tests are required for each area of the pool and specifics are available at the guard office.
Pool Parties: We invite you to bring guest by reserving an after hours pool party! A rental form and deposit must be submitted to a pool manager or assistant manager(s) in order to reserve the pool for any party. Copies of the party policy and rental forms are available at the pool and on the website.
Special Requests: If you would like the Board to consider a special request like a babysitter/nanny to accompany member’s children to the pool, please email Kathy Reilly, membership@nullshawneeswimclub.org
